The Savage artist opened up about the 2020 incident, where she was allegedly shot in the foot, in a recent interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.
The media spotlight is once again back on the alleged shooting after an initial police report resurfaced on social media. We break down everything we know.
TORY LANEZ AND MEGAN THEE STALLION’S POLICE REPORT EXPLAINED
A screenshot of a police report from the night of Tory Lanez (Daystar Peterson) and Megan Thee Stallion’s (Megan Pete) alleged shooting has gone viral on Twitter.
According to celebrity blogger KenBarbie, the viral image that has made rounds on social media is from an initial LAPD report, not the final medical report.
According to a medical report obtained by Page Six in April 2022, Megan first told authorities that she was “walking at a party and heard a loud noise and ran away” and she initially thought she had “stepped on glass”.
As per Page Six, doctors found “three major bullet fragments” after initial X-rays appeared to show bullet fragments in both of Megan’s ankles.
The report states that Megan was “alert,” “oriented” and “breathing comfortably” at the time of her admission after the incident. Page Six also reports that doctors saw a visible “small wound ” to her posterior ankle with “no active bleeding” before an in-depth evaluation.
Tory Lanez was charged in October 2020 with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He denied all allegations and pleaded not guilty in November 2020.
