I have said it before and I will say it again, the 14th Amendment is by far the worst amendment to the Constitution. It broke every possible rule of constitutional government beginning with simplicity and timelessness. The 14th is a sprawling mess meant to deal with immediate problems that used sloppy broad language and quickly became a magnet for every leftist effort to conduct backdoor rewrites of the law.

Consider that in just the last few years, Democrats used 4 of the 5 sections of the 14th to argue that…

That Trump was ineligible to hold office

2. That Congress was obligated to raise the debt limit

3. That men who pretend they’re women are entitled to do so

and now

4. That illegal aliens born in this country are automatically citizens

We know exactly what Section 1 of the 14th was aimed at. “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside” was meant to protect the civil rights of freed slaves. It did not mean that anyone who happened to give birth in this country automatically made their kid a citizen, but that’s the absurd premise of birthright citizenship.

And the current Trump executive order meant to apply to future children of illegal aliens is being challenged on the basis of the Fourteenth. This battle is almost certainly going to end up in the Supreme Court which should be interesting, though far from an inevitable happy outcome. If you think Neil or Amy are going to vote to eliminate birthright citizenship, well good luck with that. Ideally we should repeal old number fourteen which is probably the sloppiest and messiest of the amendments. If you doubt that, go look up at that list above.

Not likely to happen, but a man can dream.

There’s no such thing as birthright citizenship. Or any of the other things that Dems keep finding in the 14th Amendment which was not written to do any of these things.

Muslim Terrorist With Green Card Traveled to Israel for Terror Attack

A Moroccan national with a US green card stabbed and wounded four people in a terror attack in Israel on Tuesday before he was shot dead, officials said.

Kaddi, who held a US permanent resident card, had entered Israel on Jan. 18 with a tourist visa, Israeli officials said.

Israeli police say the attack happened in Tel Aviv’s Nahalat Binyamin neighborhood Tuesday evening, with witnesses reporting that Kaddi was killed by an armed civilian.

Israeli authorities reportedly profiled him at the airport and detained him for a few hours, but since he was carrying US documents and they had nothing definitive except a strong suspicion, had to let him into the country. He stabbed four people and was taken down by an Israeli woman with a gun.

Trump Lays Groundwork to ‘Delete’ the IRS and Abolish Federal Income Tax

Former President Donald Trump has unveiled a bold plan to eliminate the federal income tax, signaling a dramatic shift in U.S. fiscal policy as part of his 2025 economic agenda.

The plan follows a string of other tax cuts put forward by Trump, including the removal of taxes on car-loan payments, social security benefits and servers’ tips. But a potential elimination of personal income taxes for all Americans goes much further.

The prospect of abolishing the federal income tax carries a sense of bold possibility. It envisions a simpler system, freeing millions from the complexities of annual filings and reshaping how the nation generates revenue.

When podcast host Joe Rogan asked Trump last month whether he was serious about the plan, Trump said, “Yeah, sure, why not?”

The U.S. would pay for the lost tax revenue with far-reaching tariffs, Trump said.

We will not allow the enemy to come in and take our jobs and take our factories and take our workers and take our families, unless they pay a big price — and the big price is tariffs,” Trump added.

ABC reports: The individual income tax currently accounts for roughly half of the $5 trillion in revenue that the federal government brings in each year.

It is unclear whether Trump’s proposal would also include the elimination of payroll taxes and corporate income taxes. Those duties account for another 40% of U.S. tax revenue, according to the Tax Policy Center.

“Even in its smallest form, it would be a pretty substantial change from current policy,” Marc Goldwein, senior vice president and senior policy director at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, told ABC News.

But he acknowledged that the details about how that proposal would actually work have been scarce. “We don’t have a full proposal,” Goldwein said.

Outrage is intensifying after Israeli hostages recently freed from Gaza revealed they were held in U.N. facilities during their captivity, with critics calling UNRWA a “front for Hamas” that must be “disbanded” immediately.

Last weekend, three Israeli women — Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher — were released in a high-stakes prisoner swap, which saw Israel free 90 Palestinian detainees, including convicted terrorists. 

The women, who endured nearly a year and a half of harrowing captivity under the terrorist group Hamas, described being detained in United Nations facilities, including tent camps and humanitarian zones administered by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Israel’s Channel 13 News reports.

Additionally, reports indicate they were held at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

The former hostages are now undergoing rehabilitation, following severe conditions that included long periods in underground confinement without sunlight. One woman recounted being subjected to a medical procedure without anesthesia, underscoring the inhumane treatment they faced.

In response to the revelations, critics took to social media to express outrage.

“We need to confirm @EliseStefanik as UN Ambassador ASAP and hold the UN accountable for this. It’s despicable that the @UN has still not condemned Hamas terrorists for holding three women hostage in UN shelters for civilians in Gaza,” wrote Republican Sen. Rick Scott of Florida.

“If the UN prefers to work closely with terrorists instead of working with the United States and Israel to get our hostages home, they don’t deserve a single cent of our taxpayer dollars,” he added. “It’s been 474 days – BRING THEM ALL HOME.”

After appeals from the CIA and FBI, Trump blocked the release of hundreds of records. Trump said at the time the potential harm to U.S. national security, law enforcement or foreign affairs is “of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in immediate disclosure.”

Trump’s promise to also release outstanding documents related to King and former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy leaves questions as to how the president-elect will speed up the releases.

Under the Martin Luther King Jr. Records Collection Act, the remaining files pertaining to King are not due for release until 2027.

The Archaeologist Who “Found” Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphs In The Grand Canyon

There are, in certain corners of the Internet, people out there who believe that the Smithsonian Museum are covering up evidence that Ancient Egyptians came over to the Grand Canyon in North America, leaving hieroglyphs and mummies hidden for thousands of years.

The conspiracy theory goes back further than most, to 1909 when readers of the Arizona Gazette were treated to the tale of explorer “G.E. Kincaid” and his trip down the Colorado River. The paper ran two stories about the trip, and in the second he tells of how he saw a cave entrance about 609 meters (2,000 feet) above the river bed and hiked up to explore.

“When I saw the chisel marks on the wall inside the entrance, I became interested, securing my gun, and went in,” he reportedly told the paper. “During that trip, I went back several hundred feet along the main passage till I came to the crypt in which I discovered the mummies.”

The tomb or crypt in which the mummies were found is one of the largest of the chambers, the walls slanting back at an angle of about 35 degrees. On these are tiers of mummies, each one occupying a separate hewn shelf. At the head of each is a small bench, on which is found copper cups and pieces of broken swords. Some of the mummies are covered with clay, and all are wrapped in a bark fabric,” Kincaid said later in the article. “It is worthy of note that all the mummies examined so far have proved to be male, no children or females being buried here. This leads to the belief that this exterior section was the warriors’ barracks.”

According to the report, the mummies were not alone. He grabbed a number of relics – taking from the Indiana Jones archaeological playbook – and left, shipping them off to Washington. Going further inside, he discovered large areas and rooms chiseled out of the rock. 

“Over a hundred feet from the entrance is the cross-hall, several hundred feet long, in which are found the idol, or image, of the people’s god, sitting cross-legged, with a lotus flower or lily in each hand. The cast of the face is oriental, and the carving this cavern,” Kincaid reportedly said. “The idol almost resembles Buddha, though the scientists are not certain as to what religious worship it represents. Taking into consideration everything found thus far, it is possible that this worship most resembles the ancient people of Tibet.”
